The Application Support Analyst shall work closely with IT leadership and be responsible in support of the designated IT-OPS support staff member, for the proper maintenance, documentation and support of certain applications. This position requires strong verbal, analytical and written communication skills.
The candidate will perform the following:application systems support,implementation of internal and COTS application updates, upgrades and new implementation,hardware supportperform user administration tasks for all internal and COTS applications (e.g. 0365, etc.),hardware support and implementation including: provisioning new desktops, laptops, and tablets with default images ensuring that all required security applications, operating systems software etc. is kept up to date.Responsibilities:Perform Aspen suite application updates and upgradesGenerate and execute plans regarding rolling out updates, upgradesSupport the designated IT ops staff member in the performance of their dutiesPerform user administration tasks for all COTS applications (O365)Implement internal COTS updates and upgradesProvide assistance and information to usersContinually look for opportunities to improve and automate current processesEnsure adherence and compliance to department policies, guidelines and objectivesCollaborate across teams including research, design and development teamsExperienceStrong Microsoft OfficeStrong Windows OSKnowledge of applications security including authentication and role based access controlDemonstrated expertise in developing technical specs, detailed work plans and schedulesDemonstrated experience interacting with both internal/external staffStrong communication skillsExperience with Oracle/SQL Server (preferred but not required)Windows .bat or Windows PowerShell scripting (preferred but not required)Intermediate SQL querying -writing skills Linux/UnixQualifications4+ years in performance application support on Windows/UNIX servers2+ application testing2+ developing PL/SQL Code.
