This position serves our partners at Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB). MNIT MMB supports critical business operations for the State of Minnesota, including enterprise human resources and payroll, state employee insurance, and benefits administration. The team also provides the technical expertise necessary to manage the state budget and provide economic forecasts to policymakers.
The Application Support Analyst ensures the availability, integrity, and recovery of all MMB statewide systems. It provides on-call, technical and operational support for the planning, development, enhancement, maintenance and implementation activities of all MMB statewide system applications. It also supports production and development infrastructures including multiple servers, networking, batch-processing, backup and related activities.
Other duties include; providing technical support to all statewide systems technical, developers and functional users, managing the statewide systems automation schedules within all environments, utilizing Automic Applications Manager (AppWorx) software to complete scheduled batch processes in a timely manner, interface with MNIT Enterprise, technical and functional groups to escalate issues for resolution, providing after hours support for the nightly batch processing and other activities as needed in an on-call rotation, maintain quality control by properly completing migrations of online and batch-related objects from development to production, updating operations and system support documentation, assisting with a multiple helpdesks that support access to different applications systems including Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Access, and assisting with the management of service hub tickets through BMC Helix.

Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience in all of the following areas:
+ Application support in an enterprise environment.
+ Batch scheduling in an application such as Broadcom's Automic Applications Manager (Appworx), CA-7 or Control-M.
+ Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
+ Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Excellent analytical capabilities; strong communication skills; ability to work independently, be proactive and accountable for own deliverables.
+ Knowledge of Broadcom’s Automic Applications Manager (AppWorx) scheduling software.
+ Knowledge of UCC7/CA7 scheduling package.
+ Knowledge of Windows Operating system.
+ Knowledge of Office 365 Administration.
+ IBM mainframe concepts, including TSO, file structures, etc.
+ PeopleSoft Application server and Process Scheduler software.
+ Knowledge of batch interface processing, FTP, and batch scripting.
