Job Description

As Application Support Engineer for Eurofins Food and Environment Testing HU you will be working with our software support application teams. You will be providing 2nd and 3rd line support our business customers for Software Application related issues. As well as working on projects to move away from current legacy solutions and to implement Business tools and Systems (new Version of eLIMS).

Working on internal software systems running our laboratories across the CEE region you will be part of the support team and also integral part of the implementation team, working to implement new systems and improve processes. You will be working with the support engineers, as well as Business Analysts and Developers as part of a large and dynamic IT Solutions team.

The role is located in Budapest. This position reports to the Team Leader of CEE Team for Eurofins Food and Environment Testing Hungary.
 

Key duties as Application Support Engineer include:

Handling support requests for internal business usersProblem solving and bug fixingDatabase Querying, code writing and configurationActively learning new or unfamiliar technologiesBI Reports and development of a BI ToolsetProject work, on developments and improvements to systemsWorking on our LIMS systems and internal toolsWorking with the business to understand requirements and problems

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

Good problem-solving abilityA passion for technologyGood communication skills to discuss with Business problems and IssuesGood IT Skills (Office, Excel, any previous programming interest would be helpful)Microsoft SQL Query and Scripting Experience2-3 years of experience in similar position

Beneficial Skills:

SSRS or Crystal Reports ExperienceExperience in BI Platforms (Qlikview, Power BI or similar)VB6, VBA or scripting experienceC#.netVisual Basic Development Experience
