Responsible for designing, building, implementing, and developing operational plans for a Hospital Datacenter.Coordinates and manages day to day operations for all hardware, operating systems, virtualization, storage, backups, patching, as well as monitoring the health of core applications. Provides designing, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment and top-level support ownership of verticals. Works closely with Healthcare IT leaders to understand their requirements for design and proactively identifies improvement opportunities and makes recommendations.Leads incidents and participates in problem management activities.Acts as liaison with manufacturers and vendors of software and application products, especially with regard to problem diagnosis and resolution.Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work effectively and diplomatically in a team environment, and ability to work in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities.Solid understanding of technical strategies to maintain the integrity and availability of a large datacenter serving an enterprise Hospital System.Solid understanding of how the full life cycle of application and technology implementation including:Technical Integration with corresponding technologiesData integritySecurity ControlsApplication availabilityDesigns and implements highly available application infrastructure leveraging Load Balancers, GSLB, Multi-datacenter infrastructure, and SQL Always-On Availability Groups. QualificationsEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 8 years of IT experience or the equivalent of education, experience and IT certification/s.
Experience with systems administration design in an enterprise environment to include data center migrations, up-time, disaster recovery, and capacity security planning highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have advanced technical skills and knowledge in at least one or more vertical. List is not inclusive as technology changes often.
