Position Summary: As the Applications Delivery Leader for Group Insurance Technology at Trustmark, you will utilize your extensive business knowledge and insurance technology expertise. Your role will involve serving as a strategic partner and a technical subject matter expert, collaborating closely with Trustmark’s executive leadership in group insurance, including Universal Life, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity, IT leadership, and business operations to enhance technical solutions in this domain. This person in this role will bring a strategic, consultative approach to working directly with business leaders, IT executives, and internal and external resources to provide leadership for Trustmark’s group insurance products, technology strategies, systems, and solutions, working with a highly motivated and energetic team. The Applications Delivery Leader, Group Insurance Technology requires someone who brings extensive experience in Insurtech- the technologies that support life insurance and/or supplemental health providers, experience partnering directly with senior leadership of a business function, and experience managing the execution of work through internal and outsourced resources. This is a hybrid role with 3 days at our campus in Lake Forest, IL, and 2 days remote. **Key Accountabilities:** **Strategic Leadership** : Creates technology strategies, systems, and solutions specific to the life insurance and supplemental health landscape **Technical (Insuretech) Leadership** : Works with business leadership and end users to design business cases, define requirements, develop short/long term technical roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, assess risk, and work across the IT organization on insurance technology projects to support business goals and IT priorities **Communications:** Communicates directly with executive level business unit and IT leadership, and cross functional stakeholders to engage, develop trusting relationships, balance business support with IT best practices, drive consensus, and share out decisions, and project information to all stakeholders. **Execution:** Leads SDLC full end-to-end management, oversees and holds vendors accountable to project execution **Innovation:** Drives IT innovation and promotes new technologies, provides proactive improvements to technology and processes, drives change, and supports others through new approaches **Minium Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 6 – 8 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 8-10 years of related experience • Demonstrated experience working with Insurtech and leveraging insurance vendor technology solutions • Life insurance industry knowledge with group administration platforms, billing, claims, commissions and full insurance lifecycle • Experience communicating directly with and advising non-technical insurance senior business leaders as a technical subject matter/expert consultant • Experience assessing, evaluating and prioritizing technology solutions to business needs to drive decisions regarding group insurance technology landscape • Experience leading both internal and vendor-based teams to achieve project goals • Experience presenting short- and long-term technology roadmaps to support anticipated changes • Experience using Agile, Cloud/Azure/AWS, API’s, Integrations, SaaS Applications, Policy Administration Systems, Software Configuration Management **Preferred Experience:** Vitech Velocity experience preferred but not required, with other insurance back-office functions and platforms (billing, claims, etc.) **Key Attributes** • Communication • Technical Knowledge • Thought leadership and Problem Solving • Project/Program/Risk Management • Vendor Negotiation/Management • Continuous Improvement • Customer Focus Brand: Trustmark Come join a team at Trustmark that will not only utilize your current skills but will enhance them as well.
