Description:

This person will be supporting the Applications Engineering group which functions as their Research & Development team. The position will be required to do a lot of front end development where they will be testing materials and how they react while interacting with the laser. They would be responsible for coming up with capabilities, processing speeds, quality of laser processing, and specific system configurations required for production applications for any specific or prospective client. They would also process sample parts for prospective or current customers and document results in a report that is presented to the customer.

Once the process has been verified to the customer's specifications, this person would be responsible for demonstrating it to the clients and their team of engineers.

There will be domestic and international travel, working with engineering teams at clients like Boeing, AIRBUS, Pratt & Whitney, and the Department of Defense.

1 year of internship experience working with lasers for drilling, cutting, or welding

1 year of experience doing process development and design of experiments

1 year of experience with documentation and/or report writing
