Applications Engineer
**_Ultimate LLC has an immediate need for an Applications Engineer_** _Location: Franklin, TN or Remote - Salary is $80k-$100k depending on experience_ **About the Role:** As an Applications Engineer, you will be pivotal in specifying equipment for material handling designs tailored to our clients' needs. You'll leverage your expertise in material handling to transform concepts into operational systems by collaborating with Sales, Systems Engineers, Estimators, and project teams. Reporting to the Applications Engineering Manager, you might also lead teams on specific opportunities. In this role, you will: + Conceptualize and Design: Transform client concepts into functional designs using various design software. + Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to ensure product specifications meet client design requirements. + Compliance and Documentation: Understand customer specifications and bid requirements, preparing bills of materials/conveyor manifests. + Technical Support: Aid Estimating with technical information for RFPs, review supplier proposals for compliance with design and specifications. + Proposal Preparation: Participate in crafting material handling integration solution proposals. + Documentation: Document key decisions for seamless transition from pre-contract to operations. + Expertise Development: Continuously build knowledge on material handling products through training and supplier interactions. + Innovation: Compare and apply alternative technologies to optimize material handling systems. + Technical Liaison: Provide detailed equipment functionality reports to the Sales team. **We're excited about you because:** + You hold a BS in a technical field (ME, EE, or equivalent experience), with preferred experience in material handling system design for fulfillment, distribution centers, or parcel systems. + Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) and familiarity with manufacturer's tools like HyCAD, iCAD, Ichor3d, Maestro. + Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite. + Ability to manage quick-turn projects under tight deadlines. + Exceptional communication skills, adept at working with clients, management, and cross-functional teams. + Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. **About the Employer:** With over 40 years in business, we specialize in providing custom-crafted material handling solutions for clients across various industries.
