Role summary:
Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). As a member of the Commercial Operations team, you will be in charge of making technical and commercial proposals for standard and tailored pumping solutions replying to customer’s needs, and orders transfer to the factory.
Your mission consists of finding the best solution for our customer, defining a realistic manufacturing delivery time in collaboration with the production department, studying and negotiating terms and conditions in line with legal teams, optimizing profitability for Flowserve via the offered sell price (margin driving) and acting as a product specialist in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at the site.
Your role:
Support of the defined clientele in the office Evaluation of requests and Analysis of customer’s specifications Generation of technical solutions Creation of requests for technical studies by Engineering department Cost calculation, if necessary, in cooperation with the relevant departments and external suppliers Technical and commercial preparation of offers Review and validation of payment terms and T&Cs with financial and legal teams Application of export compliance rules Technical and commercial negotiation Order acceptance, review, and preparation (Complete Order) Update of Flowforce and participation to booking forecast Business follow-up beside the sales teamsAnd any other duties as assigned
Your profile:
Technical knowledge applicable to pumps and pumping units (acquired during initial and continuous training and/or through experience): Hydraulics, mechanical or electromechanicalKnowledge of the Flowserve organization Good interpersonal and communication skills French language: fluent required English language: Professional, written and oral required Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking Basics on common MS Office applications Master’s degree in a relevant field or BS + experience
