This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced Applications Engineering team that is responsible for supporting our customers in the Synopsys Intellectual Property (IP) domain.
This position requires a highly motivated and experienced person to work with Synopsys’ worldwide customer base on integrating our leading edge Foundation IP product line into their SoC designs.
 
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the IP applications for customer specific SoCKeep abreast of the latest ASIC/SoC design flows and EDA toolsProvide expert advice and support to configure and resolve IP integration challenges including simulation, synthesis, floorplan, STA, DFT and silicon bring-upProvide integration training to customers and conduct reviews on their major SoC milestonesProvide feedback to Synopsys R&D for continuous product improvementsParticipate in R&D design reviews to align development with future customer needsRequired SkillsBEng/BSc and/or MSc, and 3-5 years relevant experienceGood understanding of the latest SoC architectures and system-level design practices for one or more market segments (HPC, mobile, storage, automotive, networking, IoT), from IP requirements perspectiveHands-on experience of RTL coding in Verilog, simulation, synthesis, static timing analysis, equivalence checkingDomain knowledge of embedded memories, logic libraries and IO librariesExperienced with SoC design flowsSilicon debug and troubleshooting skillsExperience in common scripting languagesGood deductive and technical problem-solving skills in tandem with solid written and verbal communication skillsHigh degree of self-motivation and personal responsibilityCustomer sensitivity, the ability to multitask and set priorities, helpful and caring attitude towards customers, and the desire to help customers in exploring new technologies are essential for success in the positionNice to Have SkillsDomain knowledge of memory test and repair and DFTPrior AE experienceInclusion and Diversity are important to us. The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $126,000-$190,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
