Job Description
We are seeking an Applications Food Scientist who will develop technical expertise and provide leadership to support both internal and external customers. The role involves learning and utilizing our product line, performing daily bench duties, and adhering to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). You will document detailed project results, assist in weekly tastings, create accurate batch sheets, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. Additionally, you will participate in presentations, open houses, and training seminars, and may travel domestically as needed.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop technical expertise to support internal and external customers.Learn and utilize BBI products, standard demos, and Applications Directory.Follow all company SOPs and GMPs.Complete assignments by due dates with clear and correct results.Perform daily bench top duties.Document and record detailed project results including products utilized, dates, number of trials, and results.Provide a monthly synopsis of projects.Assist and participate in weekly tastings and document findings.Create accurate batch sheets for review.Ensure a clean and safe working environment.Assist in introductory presentations, open houses, and training seminars.Accompany Applications team members on domestic travel as needed.Essential SkillsTechnical experience in the Applications industry.Demonstrated track record of accomplishments.Effective oral communication skills.Effective written communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.Accountability for actions.Commitment to customer satisfaction and teamwork.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree(s) in food science or related field of study.Knowledge of biology, titration, quality control, pH testing, microbiology, quality assurance, and food science.Work Environment
The role operates on the 1st shift from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The position adheres to FDA, FSMA, and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements, ensuring food safety standards. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08
