Job Title: Applications Lab Tech
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Applications Lab Tech to support small-scale perfumery and beauty compounding for both local and global formulae. This role requires precise preparation of fragrance compounds, ensuring all ingredients are of high quality and within expiration dates, and maintaining an organized collection of raw materials. This is a six-month contract position, with potential for extension based on performance.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare fragrance compounds by accurately weighing formula ingredients using an automated system.Ensure all ingredients are of high quality and within their expiration dates.Perform other lab and project tasks as directed by the Lab Supervisors.Maintain an organized collection of raw materials.Help with overflow work when volumes increase.Maintain a clean and well-organized laboratory workspace.Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions following Lean Management principles.Assure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) procedures and contribute to lab safety improvements.Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, lab coat, closed-toed shoes), follow safety protocols, and avoid contamination risks.Independently and efficiently use internal tools for data collection, recording, and administration.Maintain awareness of technology and issues affecting the job.Actively participate as a member of a team to complete goals.Essential SkillsExperience in laboratory work and compounding.Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.Proficiency in identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.Strong compliance with HS&E procedures.Independent and efficient use of data collection and administrative tools.Awareness of relevant technology and issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong communication skills.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.Flexibility to work overtime when needed.Detail-oriented and service-oriented to meet deadlines.Ability to pivot priorities as needed.Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability to changes.Work Environment

This position requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and flexibility to work overtime when needed. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00
