Description
The UCLA Department of Neurology seeks a part-time Applications Programmer to develop programs used in our Research Only-Phase
3 NIH-funded clinical trial. These programs include a custom developed desktop application written using OpenGL and written in
VB.net, which provide the therapy to the end users (patients with stroke), plus an ASP.Net web application where licensed therapists at
each site can assign, train, and monitor therapies. There will also be an application that is used by staff at the study's primary site
(UCLA) to manage the 35 other sites and their users. The Applications Programmer will be the lead in addressing any issues that arise during the study,
which include monitoring system uptime, proper data handshake and transmission, testing, bug fixing, security, patching, and the
development of new modules as needed. You are responsible for the overall setup, testing, deployment, and training of the TR
systems.
Salary Range: $92600 - $202200/AnnuallyQualifications
Required:
+ Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent years of experience.
+ At least 10 years of experience working in software engineering.
+ Advanced Program Language: VB.Net, OpenGL, ASP.Net, Javascript, CSS, HTML, API's from VSee, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Dreamweaver.
+ Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the field and expertise in key areas that include problem-solving including problems without precedent.
+ Highly advanced skills associated managing teams with respect to software specification, design, modification, implementation and deployment of large-scale scope.
+ Excellent project leadership skills.
Preferred:
+ At least 10 years of experience working in software engineering.
