Applications Scientist - Bioinformatics

This position is part of the Scientific Applications Support team located in the United States of America and will be on-site in Boulder, CO or Coralville, IA . At IDT, we are one global team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Communicate with and support customers to provide pre- and post-sales technical support for a growing genomics - focused product offering an d associated bioinformatics analysis platfo rm . Mainta in this knowledge in Archer’s growing database of technical information. + Answer or triage customer inquiries or software troubleshooting requests received by phone and email promptly. Document all incoming and outgoing customer interactions in IDT’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database . + Support the complaint triage and investigation process and assist with complaint resolution by determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and expediting resolution to the customer’s satisfaction . + Pr ovide technical expertise for customers (internal and ext ernal) re garding Archer products, workflows, applications , and analysis . Escalate product questions, customer issues, or technical inquiries as needed. + Be able to c ommunicat e complex concepts and engage in highly technical conversations while buildin g and maint aining relationships with customers. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics , Computational Biology or a related field. PhD is a plus. + Previous experience with processing and analyzing NGS datasets + Previous experience working in a customer-facing role It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Basic script writing experience (Python preferred) + Hands-on experience with NGS library preparations and sequencing analys is + Familiarity with Archer and/or IDT NGS product offerings The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
