**Job Description**
This job is 100% remote.
The selected Applications system administrator will focus on customer support, application operational and security monitoring, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), enhancements, system to system data interfaces, and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) integrations and installations. The Candidate will have O&M responsibilities that will include system maintenance (e.g., upgrades, patching), issue identification, troubleshooting, resolution development, testing and deployment, as well as producing / maintaining operational and security compliance documentation. We would leverage the Candidate s experiences to guide us in modernization of applications (e.g., consolidation, replacement, & conversion) in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Finally, this position will require engaging business customers and other technologists with a collaborative mindset and excellent written and verbal communications (targeted for technical and non-technical audiences)
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
**BS degree and Five (5) years experience as a Linux Applications Systems administrator**
US Citizen or Green card holder
Two (2) years experience with the following:
+ Linux server administration experience/concepts/knowledge.
+ Demonstrated ability to configure application environments based on customer requirements.
+ Supporting web-based applications and understanding and working knowledge of basic Internet protocols such as REST, HTTP, SMTP, SOAP, SSL, and TLS.
+ Design, implementation, and operations and maintenance support of client/server applications with an underlying database.
+ Monitoring running web hosting middleware including Java Virtual Machines (Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, setting JAVA_OPTS).
+ PL/SQL, Windows server scripting (batch, PowerShell) and Unix shell scripting such as Bourne, BASH, CSH, TSH.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Previous experience in US Defense Contracting.
+ Working knowledge of DFARS; NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC or similar security controls
+ Systems architecture documentation using Visio
+ Troubleshooting memory, storage and connectivity issues
+ Troubleshooting process failures using stack/thread dumps (OS and JVM)
+ TCP packet analysis using WireShark
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $75510 - $128340
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
