Job Summary: We are seeking an Applied Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) SME to contribute to advancing our thermal and heat transfer modeling, simulation and analysis capabilities for defense systems applications. This role will be responsible for building, optimizing, and troubleshooting large-scale CFD models, which will significantly impact the success of the defense systems we support. This is a contingent position based upon contract award. Key Responsibilities: + Computer Aided Design: Generate Computer Aided Design geometry files of aerospace systems + Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Generate and refine meshes, both structured and unstructured, suitable for computational fluid dynamics software + Simulations: Conduct CFD simulations and analysis to evaluate aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic performance of various vehicles or objects. Contribute to the development of simulation methodologies and tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of CFD simulations + Solutioning: Post process CFD solutions to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis. Interpret and present CFD results. Work Environment: + Location: On-Site + Travel Requirements: 0% + Working Hours: Standard (Parttime 30 hours per week) Required Qualifications: + Education: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering/Physics discipline Or Master’s degree in an Engineering/Physics. + Experience: Possesses 2 to 4 years of experience performing CFD and CFD modeling and analysis. + CFD Software: Knowledgeable with CFD software to include Fluent, LAURA, FUN3D, US3D, Kestrel, or similar Navier Stokes Based CFD programs. + Must be a U.S. Citizen. Desired: + DoD Security Clearance: Experience on classified programs is a plus. + Linux: Familiar with Linux based computer systems + HPCMP: Familiar with utilizing DoD High Performance Computer Modernization Program (HPCMP) for computational projects Ready to Make a Difference?
