Summary: In this role, you will develop novel machine learning algorithms and solutions to address complex sustainability challenges. You will conduct foundational research and development in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning to create innovative approaches for sustainability data analysis and modeling. You will be responsible for pushing the boundaries of current technological capabilities while ensuring practical applications that drive meaningful impact across sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities: * Data Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain statistical and ML models (including LLM-based approaches) to understand demand signals for sustainability-related datasets * Data Acquisition & Management: Conduct data scraping, cleaning, and preparation tasks to ensure high-quality inputs for modeling and analysis * Information Extraction: Leverage NLP/LLM techniques to uncover relevant signals from textual data, scientific reports, and other unstructured information sources * Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams-including data engineers, software developers, and sustainability scientists-to identify data needs, define modeling requirements, and share insights with stakeholders * Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging data science methods, ML/LLM technologies, and sustainability datasets to continuously improve ASDI's data and analytical capabilities
