Primary Objective\n

Efficiently and effectively schedule patients for services provided by Minnesota Urology providers. Services include office visits\/clinic appointments, laboratory, and radiology. Serve as liaison, on behalf of Minnesota Urology, with patients, clinics, and hospitals.\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nSchedule patients accurately and efficiently for all office appointments requested by Minnesota Urology \n P.A. providers.\nMaintain effective and accurate daily provider appointment schedules.\nInform patients regarding special diets, prep instructions, general insurance\/referral information, \n Arrive times, dates, locations, etc. \nEnsure that patients are scheduled at the correct locations based on patient insurance requirements for radiologic procedures.\nMail appointment packets, maps, and preps for required appointments.\nRegister new patients, including all required demographic information.\nInstruct patients on the relevant clinic, financial, and referral policies.\nUpdate registration for established patients, ensuring accurate demographic information \n before scheduling appointments.\nDocument scheduled laboratory and radiology testing and procedures in chart notes within EMR \n system. \nReschedule and\/or block canceled appointments minimizing inconveniences to patients.\nServe as a contact for hospitals, clinics, and physicians regarding schedules, procedures, or \n concerns. \nCommunicate effectively and compassionately with patients, other staff, management, and physicians. \n\n

Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma\/GED\nMinimum two years of appointment scheduling, preferably in a medical office environment\nMedical terminology knowledge required\nExperience with insurances preferred\nExperience or knowledge of current EMR systems preferred but will train.\n\n
