In this role, you will work closely with our experienced bartenders to assist in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the high standards for our bar area.  As a member of our team, you'll be expected to embody these values and match the welcoming atmosphere that defines Vdara.

THE JOB:

As an Apprentice Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional bar experience to our guests.  Your responsibilities will include assisting the bartender, maintaining the bar's pristine appearance, and setting the stage for memorable guest interactions.  By understanding each guest's unique preferences and stories, you will help craft personalized experiences that leave a lasting impression they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE:  $14.8886 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Assist the bartender with preparation of drinks, mixes, and garnishesMaintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar areaMaintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areasEnsure proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non‐alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and iceClean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware and ensure equipment is in working orderPerform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignmentPromote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and respond effectively to guest inquiriesResolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Must be 21 years of age or olderMust currently have or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s card, Alcohol Awareness card & Non-Gaming cardMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Previous experience in a fine-dining environmentKnowledgeable of mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, supplies and equipmentKnowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulationsAbility to multi‐task and work well in a fast paced, team‐oriented environmentExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
