Apprentice Electrician
**Overview** The Apprentice Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings. **Benefit Information:** ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2024 Employee Benefits (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/2024-Recruitment-Frontline-11.6.23.pdf) | Front Line Team Members | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Basic Qualifications:** • Must be 18 years or older • One (1) year of experience as an electrician required; on the job training provided. • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license • Must possess apprentice electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed. **Preferred Qualifications:** • Three (3) years of experience as an electrician is preferred. • Prior experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred. **Responsibilities:** • Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site • Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature • Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes • Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings • Install, inspect and test electrical systems • Perform installations which include but are not limited to panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring • Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately to perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards • Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson • Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
