What will I be doing?

\n

As a Security Officer, you are responsible for monitoring and controlling staff entrances, patrolling on a regular basis, and managing undesirable behaviour to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience. A Security Officer will also be required to investigate theft and support evacuation procedures.

\n

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nMonitor and control staff entrances, Conduct regular searches of bags,  Control the Goods pass out procedure for any items purchased, loaned, or otherwise legitimately obtained and checking goods received out of hours\nMaintain system that monitors contractors working in the hotel in accordance with company health and safety policies\nMaintain system that records the issue and receipt of departmental keys\nOperate, check and monitor the CCTV system\nPatrol the hotel on a regular basis ensuring fire walks take place and are recorded\nEnsure safe passage of cash transfers within the hotel\nSupport evacuation of the hotel during fire alarm situations\nMonitor suspicious packages and be aware of bomb and terror threat procedures\nProvide secure storage for guest oversized items\nEnsure hotel facilities and function rooms remain secure and locked when not in use\nMaintain the Security Log Book and Incident Reports\nInvestigate and report all allegations of theft, criminal damage and other incidents\nManage undesirable behaviour in a professional manner, intervening and defusing potential altercations\nLiaise with Police in the absence of Security Team Leader\nReport any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty\nAdhere to all Health and Safety Regulations\n Complete all aspects of the apprenticeship programme\n\n

You should be flexible to work 3 different shifts depending on business needs as per below:

\n\nEarly shift 7:00 to 15:00\nLate shift 15:00 to 23:00\nNight shift 23:00 to 7:00\n\n

What are the desired skills?

\n

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

\n\nSIA Licensed\nAble to pass apprenticeship elidgability requirements, including (but not limited to) 3 years in the UK, No equivalent qualification including management focused degrees and able to complete the full term for the programme. This screening will take place with our training provider, GLP. \nExperience working within a Hotel or similar\nMaintain a positive attitude and good communication skills\nCommitted to delivering a high level of customer service\nAbility to work on your own or in teams\nThe ability to deal with enquiries in a professional and polite manner\nA passion for hospitality and guest service\nWillingness to learn\nThe ability to stay calm under pressure \nExcellent grooming standards\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\n\n
