Apprenticeship Training Coordinator

SUMMARY  

Mortenson is currently seeking an Apprenticeship Training Coordinator join the Mortenson family. The Apprenticeship Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Human Resources' Generalist team by providing confidential administrative, operational and project support. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Training Coordination

Act as the primary learning contact for your group, which includes responding to learning questions or requests from your group, and escalating questions or request you are unable to address to the Manager of Apprenticeship. This also includes training team members and instructors in your group on the use of the Learning Management System (LMS).  Run and review reports to communicate learning and enrollment completion status within apprenticeship. This includes identifying team members with outstanding/past due assignments, instructor-led (ILT) courses that need classes scheduled, and following up with team members and instructors as necessary.  Coordinate instructor-led classes. This includes scheduling classes in the LMS, inviting and/or registering team members for classes, ensuring pre-requisites and/or pre-work are complete, reserving the room, ordering catering, and printing instructor and participant materials.  Support ILT classes by ensuring technology is set up, recording attendance, distributing materials, facilitating catering, entering completions into the LMS, and completing other tasks as need to support the instructor. 

Apprenticeship Coordination

Deliver Mortenson’s company Onboarding program. This includes partner with managers to ensure they understand their roles, responsibilities, and guiding team members as they complete their onboarding experience.  Support instructors to ensure a seamless experience for their new apprentice. This includes ensuring new apprentices have all documents in place, applicable technology, apprentice mentor assignment, and a training plan. Ensure a successful transition to the project site.  Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum of one year of construction office experience Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback. Experience coordinating meetings or training events Strong technical aptitude. Ability to come up to speed quickly with various software applications/tools.  Highly self-motivated, flexible, and enjoy a fast-paced environment Superior attention to detail and accuracy  Excellent planning and organizational skills  Excellent communication and customer service skills  Ability to consistently meet deadlines with high quality work Ability to travel up to 10%

The base pay range for this role is $54,300 - $73,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
