We have an opportunity for a APQP Engineer to join our Apex, NC team. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to product requirements, which leads to customer satisfaction, as well as driving continuous improvement, which provides enhanced Quality to our customers.
You will:
Advance Quality Planning and monitor execution. Gather and coordinate testing of all quality-related tasks for new product launches and major product updates. Communicate and coordinate with the cross-functional development team and track testing adherence.Drive customer focus in the area(s) of responsibility by ensuring the voice of the customer (external and internal) is represented and actions are taken to achieve customer satisfaction.Engage in DFA/DFM reviews.NPD Steering Committee Leader in the cross-functional development team utilizing Pentair 3D & 5D gate process/project checks.Drive Quality activities in APQP – DMEA, PFMEA, & Control Plan preparation, addressing customer launch issues, and facilitating problem-solving for DV/PV open issues.Apply lessons learned into future designs and processes to prevent recurrence, leading analysis, and resolution of DV/PV-related issues, and reporting issues/risks to the Leadership team.Apply Quality and Lean principles (DOE, poke-yoke, visual management) tools as necessary to achieve and continuously improve product and process quality to achieve Segment and Business Unit objectives.Participate in product and process planning/design, gage design, and service development. Perform all quality PCO/PCR/ECN reviews. Drive compliance to Control Plans & PPAPs requirements.Evaluate process capability and apply appropriate statistical techniques and control methods to meet quality, performance, and cost objectives.Travel up to 30%.Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical field or 7 years of QE-related experience.Have a CQE experience and knowledge. Excellent knowledge of problem-solving tools and methods, including statistics, combined with the ability to select and apply them to make data-driven decisions to sustain higher levels of the process of product quality.Excellent analytical, prioritization, delegation, and multitasking skills.Demonstrate effective change management skills; Influencing, Communication, Change Management, Stakeholder ManagementThe ability to listen and understand internal customer's expectations and requirements, anticipate needs, and provide results with a high sense of urgency. Supplier validation and qualification experience.Manufacturing environment experience, including part and product validation.Automotive Quality Systems experience a plus including AIAG PPAP and FMEA processes.Electrical, PCBA, Motor, and/or electronics experience a plus.Knowledge of (GD&T) and Mini-Tab experience a plus.Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82,300 - $152,800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
