Your job, as APU Head 11 Forbes within our Autonomous Production Unit, will be to provide leadership and direction to the APU; oversee and lead implementation of the manufacturing strategy while ensuring the site remains in compliance with all safety, GMP, environmental, security and legal requirements. Work in coordination and consultation with the Head of Massachusetts Biocampus, allocate resources – human, financial, technical etc. – to fulfill near term goals and commitments while building towards sustainable manufacturing and materials management excellence. It is the responsibility of this position to motivate and lead his/her organization according to Sanofi policies to achieve business objectives that will have a major impact on the success of the Corporation.

Main Responsibilities

Lead overall transformation efforts at the site ensuring the site can fully supply all customer needs (materials, supplies, products and services).

Establish long range plans, business and operating plans, site goals and objectives; identify performance improvement targets and metrics; ensure capabilities and capacity in place to effectively deliver on all site commitments and performance targets.

Strengthen overall leadership and organizational capabilities at the site. Build high performance leadership team and ensure strong alignment and coordination of all functional groups of the MA Biocampus

Identify the required resources and expertise, implement the appropriate team/departmental structures and establish the required processes and communications to enable site to effectively deliver on all commitments while building a culture of Safety and Quality and continuous improvement

About You

Basic Qualifications

Master’s degree in science or Bachelor of Science

Minimum of 15 years progressive leadership experience.

Broad ranging leadership experience in plant operations including manufacturing, material management, supply chain, technology, QA, finance and/or HR.

Minimum of 5 years biopharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing operations or related experience.

Critical to have progressive management experience in 2 of 3 core functional areas.

Demonstrated success working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment involving world-wide regulatory agency inspections.

Knowledge of biotechnology processes/concept/techniques and engineering principles.

In-depth knowledge of cGMP/cGLP requirements in a regulated environment
