Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Aquatics Foreman with 1-3 years of Pool Technician experience. To perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various swimming pools and splash pad equipment. 

 

What you’ll do:

Supervise and coordinate the work of staff to ensure that the job is done skillfully and efficiently, and that assigned work progresses within budget and on schedule. Coordinate construction activities on a wide range of mid-sized projects (swimming pools, excavation/site work, concrete/rebar, pump stations, treatment plants) Average project size $20,00 to $1,000,000.  Experience working on commercial pools up to 100,000 gallons capacity is preferred.Self-motivated individual that is partially knowledgeable in a wide range of construction activities.  This individual does not need to be fully knowledgeable in every aspect of the project, but will take on a leadership role, read plans and scope of work, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, order materials, run a small crew, and physically perform work.  Travel overnight for various projects throughout New England. Routes material and equipment to staff and relaying appropriate information about the job to staff.  Explains the more difficult areas of the job.Be prepared to be available to provide 24hr service for emergency repairsProvide customer service in a professional and courteous mannerPerform repairs and replacements of the following:Piping materials (PVC, ductile iron) from ½-inch to 24-inch diameter.Check, gate and flap valves.Pumps (water/wastewater – submersible, dry pit, suction lift).Complete reports in a timely and complete mannerProvides recommendations for improvements in project that could be useful on future work.Advance professionally by attendance at appropriate lectures, seminars and short courses.

 

What you will bring:

High school diploma or equivalentMust have minimum 5 years in a construction industry with progressive responsibilities.Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and must be able to climb at ladder, minimum of 15 feet.Certified Pool Operator, wastewater or water treatment experience preferred.Cutting and welding certified a plus.Equipment Operator’s license a plus.Construction Supervisor’s License a plus.Knowledge of applicable codes.Excavator 1a 2c license preferredThe ability to meet deadlines, to work cooperatively with others and when necessary, work overtime and weekends.Must be able to drive a minimum of 4 hours a day.Must have or obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) health card. Must have or obtain 10-hour OSHA certification.Proficient with personal computer and software (MS Office, Project).Must have demonstrated budgetary and management skills.Experience managing subcontractors and personnel a must.Valid driver’s license with good driving record for travel in New England.
