Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an AR Accountant in the construction industry, based in Pleasanton, California. This role involves meticulous management of AR processes, customer interaction, and interdepartmental collaboration to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies. ** For immediate consideration, apply and contact Julian Sanchez on LinkedIn ** Responsibilities: • Process customer credit applications and post cash receipts, cash applications • Send invoices and account statements to customers and manage billing functions • Maintain precise customer credit records and control reports • Contact customers to collect on outstanding invoices • Monitor unapplied cash and challenge any unusual activity • Prepare AR accruals • Ensure proper cutoff at each quarter and year-end for accurate updating of the general ledger • Contribute to the preparation of month end and year end close Requirements • Minimum of 4 years experience in an AR Accountant role or similar. • Demonstrated experience with Accounting Functions. • In-depth knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. • Proven ability to handle Billing Functions effectively. • Capability to handle tasks such as Posting Payments and Cash Posting. • Experience in managing Credit Memos. • Proficient in executing Monthly Accruals. • Ability to handle Customer Invoices accurately. • Experience with managing Invoice Discrepancies. • Skilled at tracking and resolving Outstanding Invoices.
