AR Billing Specialist
Job Title: AR Billing Specialist Job Description This position is primarily responsible for complex construction Time & Material (T&M) and AIA billing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within the construction accounting industry and have a experience in billing and accounting. They will possess excellent customer service skills and be a team player. Attention to detail is a must. Responsibilities + Creation of 150+ invoices per month using the Sage 300 CRE system + Verification of costs and breakout of invoices delineating by customer PO + Consultation with construction project managers for entry of construction cost estimates + Generation and review of project cost reports + Maintenance and tracking of AIA billing spreadsheets and percent complete invoices + Detailed tracking of costs associated with pre-bill invoices, and tracking of PO’s by project + Collection of all backup for invoices, preparation and assembly of full invoice with backup + Sending invoice PDFs to customers and filing associated paperwork + Entry of purchase orders for material costs against projects + Follow up with customers regarding payment of past-due invoices + Creation of detailed remittance spreadsheets upon receipt of remittances from customers + Assist with tracking of subcontractor status, including return of signed contracts and COI tracking + Receive subcontractor invoices, confirm accuracy, and enter into system + Assist with creation of subcontract agreements and subcontract change orders + Verification of time entries submitted and creation of system-specific time the person between carpenter and laborer unions + Dispute resolution with unions + Assist with correction of field payroll errors + Cross-trained to ensure coverage at all times; backup for architectural design billing, system time entry and corrections, union report creation, customer payment remittance entry into the system, and verification of subcontractor payments Essential Skills + 5+ years of billing experience + Experience in construction, AEC, or services industry + Excellent customer service skills + Attention to detail + Team player Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of union billing (a plus but not required) Work Environment The office is spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable with about 25 people.
