AR Billing Specialist
Job Title: AR Billing Specialist

Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for complex construction Time & Material (T&M) and AIA billing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within the construction accounting industry and have a experience in billing and accounting. They will possess excellent customer service skills and be a team player. Attention to detail is a must.

ResponsibilitiesCreation of 150+ invoices per month using the Sage 300 CRE systemVerification of costs and breakout of invoices delineating by customer POConsultation with construction project managers for entry of construction cost estimatesGeneration and review of project cost reportsMaintenance and tracking of AIA billing spreadsheets and percent complete invoicesDetailed tracking of costs associated with pre-bill invoices, and tracking of PO’s by projectCollection of all backup for invoices, preparation and assembly of full invoice with backupSending invoice PDFs to customers and filing associated paperworkEntry of purchase orders for material costs against projectsFollow up with customers regarding payment of past-due invoicesCreation of detailed remittance spreadsheets upon receipt of remittances from customersAssist with tracking of subcontractor status, including return of signed contracts and COI trackingReceive subcontractor invoices, confirm accuracy, and enter into systemAssist with creation of subcontract agreements and subcontract change ordersVerification of time entries submitted and creation of system-specific time the person between carpenter and laborer unionsDispute resolution with unionsAssist with correction of field payroll errorsCross-trained to ensure coverage at all times; backup for architectural design billing, system time entry and corrections, union report creation, customer payment remittance entry into the system, and verification of subcontractor paymentsEssential Skills5+ years of billing experienceExperience in construction, AEC, or services industryExcellent customer service skillsAttention to detailTeam playerAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of union billing (a plus but not required)Work Environment

The office is spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable with about 25 people. The work environment is casual with a casual dress code. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
