AR Clerk
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an AR Clerk to join our team in Ottawa, Illinois. In this role, you will be a key member of the finance team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable processes and customer service within the wastewater infrastructure industry. Responsibilities: • Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of accounts receivable payments through various methods including checks, ACH, Wires, and credit cards. • Oversee daily customer invoice posting, ensuring all deliveries have been invoiced and all invoices have been sent to customers. • Conduct thorough reviews of customer invoices for overall accuracy and taxation and process all credit memos as needed. • Manage and distribute monthly customer statements, maintaining constant communication with customers to resolve any disputes. • Maintain diligent records of debt collection efforts and manage delinquent customer accounts. • Review and release credit holds as necessary, adjusting customer accounts for credit term adjustments. • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new customers and assist in arranging financing for customers with lenders. • Provide support to the Expense Administration side of online expense reporting. • Collaborate with the Financial Accounting team to cross-train in various duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable processing, and tax processing activities. • Perform other accounting and clerical functions as needed to support the finance team. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required for accurate financial classification • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is essential for efficient data management • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is needed for streamlined financial operations • Proficient in Concur for accurate expense reporting and management • Knowledge of ERP Solutions is necessary for integrated business process management • Ability to perform Accounting Functions accurately and efficiently • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial • Auditing skills are required for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance • Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively to maintain financial health of the organization Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
