AR Specialist
Description We are seeking an AR Specialist for our client's team in the Middlesex, New Jersey area. This role revolves around managing and maintaining financial records, providing support to other departments, and playing a crucial role in the management of cash flow. The AR Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring bank accounts, reconciling statements, managing electronic payment systems, and supporting cash flow management processes. Responsibilities: • Maintaining organized and accurate financial records. • Efficiently processing customer credit applications. • Handling all bank reconciliation tasks and posting payments. • Allocating payments to Purchase Orders. • Setting up payments from aging reports. • Ensuring all financial transactions comply with the organization's policies and procedures. • Assisting in the streamlining of financial processes and procedures. • Providing accurate and timely financial information to management to aid in decision-making. • Utilizing tech tools such as Excel and Microsoft Dynamics Navision as needed. • Ensuring financial stability by supporting cash flow management and reconciling bank statements. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary • Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is required • Ability to analyze large sets of data • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion • Experience with accounting software is preferred • Bilingual candidates may have an advantage • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
