Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the organization's receivables, ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments, and maintaining financial records. This role supports the financial health of the non-profit by ensuring that funds are collected efficiently and effectively, contributing to the organization's mission and goals. Responsibilities: * Process and record all incoming payments, including donations, grants, and other revenue sources * Generate and send out invoices to donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders * Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments * Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted * Prepare regular reports on receivables status and aging * Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards * Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations * Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation * Respond to inquiries from donors, sponsors, and internal staff regarding payment status and account information * Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information
