Job Title: Arborist

We are seeking an Arborist to support our Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) project in collaboration with the Parks Department. This role focuses on assessing trees threatened by invasive beetles in New York City.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee construction activities at project sites.Inspect trees for signs of Emerald Ash Borer infestation.Provide daily reports on tree assessments and project progress.Supervise contractors during EAB treatments, block pruning, and emergency storm work.Utilize city FORMS System for documentation and stump inspections.Collaborate effectively with contractors.

Work Schedule:

Full-time Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 4:00PM.

Requirements:

Personal vehicle.ISA Certification.Minimum of 1 year of experience in forestry-related projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00
