Job Description:

   

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HPC and AI Performance Architect to join our dynamic team. This is a technical role that requires a deep understanding of high-performance computing, AI systems, and emerging technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and scale HPC and AI infrastructures, ensuring they meet the growing demands of our business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, with a direct impact on business outcomes. You will influence the future of our HPC and AI strategy by developing performance-optimized systems, improving workflows, and contributing to both hardware and software advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

System Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of HPC and AI workloads across a range of hardware architectures (e.g., GPUs, CPUs, accelerators) and software environments (e.g., AI frameworks, HPC applications).Infrastructure Design & Development: Lead efforts to design and deploy next-generation HPC and AI platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and efficiency.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with engineering, data science, research, and IT teams across the organization to identify opportunities for system improvements and support the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.Benchmarking & Tuning: Perform rigorous benchmarking and tuning of HPC and AI systems, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to maximize performance.Software Optimization: Collaborate with software developers to optimize code, ensuring efficient use of HPC and AI hardware, including memory management, parallelism, and data access patterns.Emerging Technologies & Trends: Stay ahead of the latest developments in HPC, AI hardware, and software, and incorporate emerging technologies and methodologies into the system design and architecture.Business Impact: Align technical efforts with business objectives, ensuring that HPC and AI infrastructure investments deliver measurable performance gains that impact overall business outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. Masters degree or PhD in related field is preferred.15+ years of experience in performance engineering/development across HPC and AI domains.5+ years of experience steering technical direction and innovation. 3+ years of hands on development and innovation in AI. Holds patents and/or technical publications. Technical Expertise:Deep knowledge of HPC and AI systems, architectures, and performance tuning.Proficiency in parallel computing, GPU/CPU optimizations, and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MPI, OpenMP).Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking tools (e.g., VTune, Perf), and debugging techniques.Programming Skills: Strong programming and scripting skills in C/C++, Python, Fortran, or similar languages.System Experience: Familiarity with HPC job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS), containerization (e.g., Docker, Singularity), and distributed computing environments.Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and devise creative optimization solutions.Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $149,000.00 - $361,500.00
