At CESO, an Architect is responsible for leading the building design effort from start to finish and manages the production of building construction documents in accordance with local and national codes and regulations. Architects interact with Project Managers and clients to understand their needs and work to ensure that the final design is safe, useful, and aesthetically pleasing. You will have primary responsibilities that include:

Lead and manage architectural projects from preparation of concepts and design development through complete construction documentation that includes specifications, materials, colors, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, and estimated costsPerform site visits and field measurements as required to document existing conditions for renovation projectsDefine and communicate project scope, objectives, and schedule to staff and clients. This may include soliciting partner proposals for SMEPPerform life-safety analysis and code reviews of existing and new builds to ensure design will comply with adopted codesLead the due diligence research and permit submission processDevelop project schedules and coordinate construction documentationCoordinate with clients and vendors to ensure adherence to policies and performance measuresFacilitate project meetings and communicate findings internally to design partners and make external presentations to applicable authorities having jurisdictionPerform contract or construction administration associated with architectural services to include RFIs, shop drawing reviews, pay application reviews, construction observations and/or final SF verification surveysMotivate team members through mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional developmentUnderstand and interpret basic building codes, code organization and determine code requirements/compliance paths for projectsPerform other project duties as assigned

Position requirements include:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with 4+ years of experience with a current registration; or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Architecture with a current registrationArchitectural License (active) requiredLEED Certification preferredProficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Photo Editing SoftwareStrong understanding of building design and entitlement processesAbility to travel
