Job Title: Senior ArchitectJob Description Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team in Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, with a focus on designing and managing complex projects. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can lead architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality design and execution. Responsibilities + Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards. + Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines. + Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. + Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. + Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. + Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. + Make key management and project decisions to ensure the successful execution of projects. + Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness. + Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. + Licensed Architect in the state of Maryland (preferred). + Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and project management. + Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite. + Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices. + Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with government, academic, multi-family, commercial, corporate, and scientific/lab project types is preferred. Work Environment High focus on Airport and Aviation development, including tenant relocation, terminal expansion, and baggage handling. Projects supported include WV, Dulles, and other significant airports. The work environment is collaborative, dynamic, and requires a commitment to excellence in architectural design and project management.
