Job Description
Work under the direction of the principal architect to produce full sets of working construction documents and unit layouts for multi-family, mixed-use projects. Prepare planning board packages for site plan approval and contribute to schematic design and design development phases as needed. Utilize AutoCAD primarily, with Revit for hospitality projects.
ResponsibilitiesProduce full sets of working construction documents and unit layouts for multi-family, mixed-use projects.Prepare planning board packages for site plan approval.Contribute to schematic design and design development phases as needed.Utilize AutoCAD for most projects and Revit for hospitality projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.Experience with high-end single-family, hospitality, and commercial projects (55% residential, 35% hospitality, 10% commercial).Ability to produce construction documents for single-family projects using AutoCAD.Experience in residential architecture, multi-family, hospitality, construction documents, construction administration, and construction drawings.Ability to prepare planning board packages for site plan approval.Ability to prepare residential unit layouts.Understanding of concrete foundation details, flat plate elevated slab systems, and wood frame construction details.Experience in schematic design, design development, and construction document phases.5-10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in residential design and construction drawing.5 years of experience in an office environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Architecture preferred.Experience with SketchUp for renderings.Detailing experience is a plus.Work Environment
Small office with a total of 5 employees including the owner. Possibility of remote work a few days a week if proven. The office handles 50-60 projects per year, mainly additions ranging from 3000 to 5000 sq ft and valued at $500,000 and up. The principal architect is very hands-on, loves to mentor, and is willing to teach anyone who wants to learn. The work environment offers the option to work independently with a free range.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $48.07
