Architectural Designer
Job Title: Architectural Designer Job Description We are currently seeking a passionate Architectural Designer to join our Client's dynamic cultural studio in the Richmond, Virginia area. The ideal candidate will spend 80% of their time in the production phase of projects, which includes tasks such as generating Construction Document Sets, taking redlines, and participating in design development. An additional 10% of your time will be dedicated to Construction Administration, and the remaining 10% will involve client interaction. This role is perfect for an emerging professional who is eager to learn, develop, and grow within their role. You will have the opportunity to meet with clients to discuss design requirements, gather necessary measurements for design layouts, and provide suitable design recommendations. You will also be expected to use CAD software and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans, rework and modify designs based on feedback, and provide management with estimates on project specifications. This role also involves interaction with other Architects and Designers, maintaining vital information and documentation, conducting research to stay up-to-date with design trends, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and legal standards. Technical Skills + Proficient with Revit + Ability to produce Construction Documents Sets + 3+ years experience with Commercial Projects Soft Skills + Willingness to learn and grow. + Ability to interact with clients and team members + Ability to modify designs based on feedback + Ability to stay up-to-date with design trends Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Richmond, Virginia and some days remote. Work Environment We offer a collaborative work environment divided into studios. You will primarily be working within your designated studio, but there will occasionally be exposure to other project types based on work load. For entry level employees, the expectation is to be in office for the first 6 months, after which the schedule will be adjusted to 24 hours in office and the remaining hours working from home.
