Architectural Designer

Description:

Essential Functions

Work with senior staff to understand the scope of work and develop designs appropriate to the budget

Work with project architects, project managers, and hotel engineers and other internal partners to gain information needed for documentation of a project.

Prepare design presentations for clients and the hotel brands using a combination of sketches, and design/drafting programs utilized by the industry

Understand basic building codes and accessibility requirements and be able to implement them in your design presentation

Assist in quantity take-offs and budgets

Develop organizational and requested time management skills and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize

Respond to questions requests by senior staff and outside consultants in a timely, informative manner

Attend project pre-bid and or installations with senior staff

Gain a basic knowledge of the company programs utilized for design and record keeping and be able to utilise4 these programs on a daily basis

Take ownership of tasks assigned and complete them with professionalism

Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned
