Job Title: Architectural Designer

Job Description

A Designer will be responsible for producing high-quality project design deliverables in both preliminary/schematic/test-fits plans and construction documents. This person will utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud throughout design and construction. Primarily, the role involves producing architectural drawings and details in REVIT and occasionally in AutoCAD. The ability to confidently work with specifications is a huge plus. The Designer will complete redlines and mark-ups from the Architectural Department’s hand drawn/mark-ups or digital mark-ups in Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam. The role includes providing preliminary and schematic floor plans and details under the guidance of Architects and Architectural Designers, assisting with documenting existing site and building conditions, and occasionally assisting the Senior Architectural team with progress construction visits and field observations.

ResponsibilitiesProduce high-quality project design deliverables in preliminary/schematic/test-fits plans and construction documents.Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud throughout design and construction.Create architectural drawings and details in REVIT and occasionally in AutoCAD.Complete redlines and mark-ups from hand-drawn or digital mark-ups in Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.Provide preliminary and schematic floor plans and details under guidance from Architects and Architectural Designers.Assist the Architectural team with documenting existing site and building conditions.Occasionally assist Senior Architectural team with progress construction visits and field observations.Support Quality Control/Quality Assurance punch lists and project close-outs.Essential SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in REVIT.Experience with AutoCAD required.Experience with AutoDesk Architecture or Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.Minimum 2-year degree in drafting, architectural and/or interior design.2-4 years of professional experience preferred, solid internship experience considered with confidence in REVIT.Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh level of professional integrity, taking pride and ownership in work.Comfortable speaking and presenting in a group setting.Willingness to share knowledge and help others improve.Maintains a positive, open 'can do' attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.Ability to follow and comply with standards and procedures.Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.Ability to adapt to new technology and processes.Work Environment

This is an office-based role with occasional travel to Rochester or Buffalo sites for progress construction visits and field observations. The work environment involves collaboration with a diversified group of Interior Design, Architectural, Engineering, and Development professionals, as well as Construction office and field staff and outside vendors. The company offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects worth 100-500 million dollars, within a smaller firm with a large portfolio. The team atmosphere is supportive, and there is an opportunity to grow into a higher level position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $40.00/hr.
