Architectural Inspector
Job Description The Architectural Inspector will work with various clients, building occupants, and contractors on a federal project site in Washington, DC. This individual will be part of an Owner's agent team, supporting various federal projects. Responsibilities + Monitor, assess, coordinate, and inspect the construction work of the contractor on behalf of the federal agency. + Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes. + Inspect site daily to ensure compliance with codes and specifications. + Prepare reports of inspections and site visits. + Review change order issues. + Perform special material testing inspections. + Maintain project records. + Manage project photographic records. + Verify field surveys. + Review change order issues. + Conduct special material testing inspections. Skills/Qualifications + CQM certification + Experience with material take-offs + Design and federal architecture experience + $50M+ Federal (GSA, DoD) construction experience including historic renovations and new construction + Oversight of architectural component installation + Design and specification reviews + Architecture and drafting skills + Quality assurance and quality control experience + Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations + Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools Work Environment The role is based on-site at the GSA facility daily. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
