Architectural Inspector

Job Description

The Architectural Inspector will work with various clients, building occupants, and contractors on a federal project site in Washington, DC. This individual will be part of an Owner's agent team, supporting various federal projects.

Responsibilities

Monitor, assess, coordinate, and inspect the construction work of the contractor on behalf of the federal agency.Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.Inspect site daily to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.Prepare reports of inspections and site visits.Review change order issues.Perform special material testing inspections.Maintain project records.Manage project photographic records.Verify field surveys.Review change order issues.Conduct special material testing inspections.

Skills/Qualifications

CQM certificationExperience with material take-offsDesign and federal architecture experience$50M+ Federal (GSA, DoD) construction experience including historic renovations and new constructionOversight of architectural component installationDesign and specification reviewsArchitecture and drafting skillsQuality assurance and quality control experienceKnowledge of OSHA safety regulationsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00
