Job Description
An Architectural Project Coordinator works closely with project managers to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets, and timeframes for projects. This role involves various coordinating duties such as scheduling and risk management.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessaryEvaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutionsPlan and manage team goals, project schedules, and new informationSupervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on trackManage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and storedDirect project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emailsCommunicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectivesAdhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measuresEssential Skills2+ years of architectural/construction project coordinator experience, preferably with a focus on custom millwork, casework, and cabinetry projectsExperience with analyzing job requirements, defining project scope, and developing project timelines for submittals, fabrication, and installationProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Experience with blueprint and project management softwareAbility to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and specification sheetsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalUnderstanding of the fabrication and installation process of architectural millwork productsFamiliarity with quality and health and safety standards on a construction jobsiteAbility to work without direct supervisionAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction, or engineering preferred. Work experience in applicable construction trades is acceptable in lieu of a degreeKnowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standardsWork Environment
Opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule after 60 days of employment. Flexible schedule with project site visits. Local firm with the opportunity to work closely with the team and see projects all the way through design. Opportunity to work on exciting commercial projects such as M&T Stadium.
