Architectural Project Manager
Job Title: Architectural Project ManagerJob Description The Architectural Project Manager serves as a leader in both people and project management, overseeing multiple projects and participating in marketing pursuits to ensure beneficial outcomes for our organization and clients. Reporting to a Principal, you will engage in business development efforts to support revenue growth and profitability by establishing and nurturing beneficial partnerships. You will estimate fees, determine scopes of work, assist in proposal development and writing, and manage contracts for complex projects. You will also manage and mentor junior team members, being integral to their development. Responsibilities + Oversee multiple projects, ensuring advantageous outcomes for the organization and clients. + Participate in business development efforts to support revenue growth and profitability. + Estimate fees, determine scopes of work, and assist in proposal development and writing. + Manage contracts for complex projects. + Manage and mentor junior team members. + Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including coordination with internal/external design team members, specialty consultants, clients, construction managers, contractors, and governing agencies. + Lead the preparation of documents for obtaining required local and state permits. + Suggest new ideas and processes, continuing to learn about the latest industry developments. + Interpret, create, and redefine organizational standards. + Build and enhance client relationships. + Oversee the management of internal finances, including billing, invoice generation, and asset/resource allocation. + Serve as the daily contact for key internal and external project personnel, ensuring resolution of project-related issues. + Lead and supervise the development of clear and complete drawings and specifications. + Plan, organize, and regulate workload assignments. + Prepare coordinated design and construction documents to obtain permits and competitive bids from contractors for public works projects. + Engage and foster the growth of team members, providing encouragement and regular feedback. + Conduct career conversations with team members, including annual reviews and development of career plans. + Develop future leaders within the organization. + Engage, motivate, and lead stakeholders to develop strategies and plans. + Promote justice, diversity, and fairness within the organization. Essential Skills + Thorough understanding of current trends and areas of growth within the architectural industry. + Deep expertise in design specialty. + Ability to foster a creative design environment. + Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). + Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the building design environment. + Deep knowledge of industry standards and building codes. + Ability to collaborate productively with multidisciplinary team members, consultant groups, and stakeholders on concurrent projects. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp. + BS (and/or MS) in field of expertise. + At least twelve (12) years of architecture experience with a track record of developing proactive designs for a broad range of project types. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Professional licensure (RA) preferred. + LEED and/or WELL accreditation preferred, but not required. + Customer-focused. + Financial acumen. + Ability to instill trust. + Inspirational attitude contributing to an uplifting workplace. + Integrity and reliability in follow-through on commitments. + Ingenuity in seeking new opportunities and solving problems. Work Environment The individual will work out of the Miami Blvd office. After 3-6 months of acclimation, there will be more flexibility for remote work. The Project Manager role will require more frequent client and customer interactions compared to other positions. The work environment emphasizes careful planning, scheduled monitoring, in-house coordination, and progress meetings, with a focus on client engagement through structured design workshops. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
