MAPEI Corporation, a leader in the manufacturing of chemical building products, is seeking a dynamic Architectural Representative with a proven sales track record and a passion for excellence. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving product awareness, educating industry professionals, and strengthening our market presence through impactful demonstrations and presentations.
Meet and exceed sales targets as established by the company. Manage the full specification life cycle, including developing relationships, conducting pre-design and design phase activities, writing MAPEI-specific specifications, and coordinating bid and review processes. Maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, and project owners to ensure successful product delivery and sales closure. Collaborate with the Director, Architectural & Commercial Projects on assigned initiatives. Deliver continuing education programs for the architectural and design community. Partner with Distributor Architectural Sales Representatives to engage architects on major projects and promote MAPEI products. Attend trade shows as requested to represent MAPEI. Build and strengthen relationships with commercial architects and contractors to influence product selection and specifications. Work with distributors and identify contractor needs to support successful project execution. Update existing National Accounts and cultivate new ones. Collaborate with Customer Representatives to maintain account activities and materials. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of commercial products with a proven track record. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; high school diploma or GED required. In-depth knowledge of the assigned market/industry. Valid state driver’s license with the ability to travel within the territory. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
