Job Description

The Architectural Sales Representative manages architectural promotion to influence the design and specification process and position Fiberon’s products for use on commercial projects, while effectively utilizing his/her time and resources to increase sales output.

This Architectural Sales Representative implements current sales strategies and drives the specification position for Fiberon’s cladding products with the Architect, Interior Designer and Specifier community.  Understanding of the roles of the General Contractor and Owner and ability to effectively communicate with and influence these decision makers is essential.

What you will be doing:

Interface and build relationships with Architects and other actors in the design community.Influence the specification process with Specification Writers/Creators.Build a prominent specification position for Fortune Brands Outdoors products.National Accounts management and corresponding master specification and brand approval process.Implement agreed upon marketing strategies for distributor customers.Evaluate effectiveness of current sales strategies and programs.Identify projects where Fiberon has been specified or submitted.Create and maintain a project pipeline in CRM.Track/Maintain specified/submitted project pipeline through to order received stage.Document all activities in CRM.Present AIA/CES courses to Architects.Coordinate market intelligence on product, program, shipping, and market segments.Collaborate with other Fiberon personnel as required to provide technical assistance, training, project-start-up, dealer assistance, contractor assistance, problem resolution, etc.Manage the sales process through dealer or distribution channels, as required.Develop a trained and consistent installer base.Participate in regional design organizations and promotional/trade show activities.Participate in national promotional/trade show activities as required.Assist in Product Development as required.Drive specification and awareness around strategic new product launches to deliver revenue goals.Gather information on competitive activity and prospective strategic directives.Assist in managing inventory levels at distributor’s locations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

3-5 years of proven sales experience in building materials, pulling through the architectural channels and influencing specifications.Ability to travel 50%+Strong understanding of the architectural specification process with demonstrated experience in promoting to architects, designers and specifiers.Ability to self-manage and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Ability to anticipate market and client opportunities and respond appropriately.Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (specifically MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel)Knowledge of CRM; familiar and capable with virtual sales tools like GTM.CSI, CDT, AIA, LEED, and other similar organization affiliations.

Bachelor's DegreeExperience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industryArchitectural sales: 5+ years

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $56,000 USD - $80,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
