Job Description
We are seeking an Architectural Specifications Content Writer/Editor to join our firm. If you have an interest in translating architectural drawings into written instructions for product procurement and installation, and you possess architectural training, construction product knowledge, and technical/grammatical writing skills necessary for success in this role, we want to hear from you!
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain architectural specifications for various project types, ensuring clarity and accuracy.Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and construction teams to integrate material selections and technical requirements into project specifications.Review construction documents for compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure up-to-date product and material information.Assist in managing project deliverables to meet schedules and milestones.Conduct product research and stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies.Ensure project specifications align with sustainability goals and LEED certification requirements when applicable.Essential Skills3+ years’ experience writing commercial architectural specifications.Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.Proficiency in software tools like MasterSpec and Bluebeam.Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.Familiarity with sustainable design practices (LEED accreditation is a plus).Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with sustainable design practices (LEED accreditation is a plus).Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00
