Job Summary:

An Assistant Vice President in Technology Architecture Governance at MUFG will focus on the strategy, development, and maintenance of the Technology Architecture Governance framework. This role involves ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, and maintaining the completeness and accuracy of our systems inventories and Architecture Review Board data. The AVP will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive objectives and compliance, and will play a key role in developing and maintaining governance standards and operating procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

Maintain the overall system inventory list, system stakeholders, system status, system metadata, certification status, system associated technologies, and Third Party Risk Engagements for systems.Assist with the Architecture Review Board process coordination and administration.Develop and enhance standards, policies, and procedures for architecture governance.Conduct internal and external reviews, audits, inspections, and investigations relative to standards, policies, and procedures.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and control weaknesses.Propose new or updated policies and procedures to promote compliance.Promote awareness of standards and governance to various stakeholders and their respective business units.Work with internal teams to ensure risk management priorities are reflected in annual plans and initiatives.Measure the effectiveness of strategies, policies, and procedures for managing risks.Implement training plans related to standards and governance, including the establishment of training curriculum, assignment, records management, and compliance monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications:

Must have experience within a large, highly matrixed organization with recent work related to standards and governance.Knowledge of and demonstrated 5+ years’ experience interpreting and applying one or more recognized, related compliance and/or risk management regulations and frameworks to develop governance.Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.Big 4 or top-tier management consulting experience is a plus.Advanced systems knowledge with strong capabilities in Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong Office 365 and presentation skills.Effective use of collaboration tools, such as MS Teams and SharePoint.Access Database and SQL skills are a plus.An understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance concerns is preferred.Ability to troubleshoot complex problems with minimal guidance.Ability to learn and adapt to new capabilities/tools based on business needs.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) are preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $88K - $127K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
