Job DescriptionSummary
The Area Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue within the corporate transient and consortia segments while supporting group business travel for the Limelight urban hotels. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel management companies (TMCs), and other key stakeholders to secure business travel contracts and maximize hotel occupancy and revenue at assigned hotel. This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 plus sales incentive plan. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions
• Proactively identify, target, and solicit new corporate accounts within assigned market segments
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and market share targets for the BT and Consortia segments
• Conduct outside sales calls, presentations, and site inspections to showcase the hotel's facilities and services to potential clients
• Respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and negotiate contracts with corporate clients and TMCs
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the business travel and consortia sector
• Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate leads and build relationships
• Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details within the hotel's CRM system
• Monitor assigned segment performance and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for revenue optimization
• Work closely with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies and maximize yield within the assigned segments
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review
• Participate in sales meetings and training sessions as required
• Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably with a focus on business travel
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong understanding of the business travel and consortia markets, including TMCs, corporate travel policies, and online booking platforms
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Sales/Contact Database (Delphi) and Property Management System (HMS) operation/knowledge
• Manage expense budgets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally
• Collaborate with other hotel departments (e.g., front office, catering, events) to ensure seamless execution of reservations, bookings, and events
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business within the corporate travel segment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Delphi)
• Existing relationships with planners and travel agents is an advantage
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at corporate accounts and TMCs
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their travel needs are met and expectations are exceeded
• Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance, identify opportunities for growth, and address any client concerns

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
