As a dynamic, rapidly growing company, we are looking for a purpose-driven Area Coach to join our expanding team and become an ultimate ambassador of our brand. In this role, you will oversee 3-5 locations where they will be ultimately responsible for sales and profitability, ensuring a consistent brand image and a quality customer service experience. The Area Coach will be tasked with creating a highly productive environment, building a motivated team, ensuring an extraordinary guest experience, and balancing other corporate priorities while focusing on operational and leadership excellence. Enthusiastically hire, develop, and lead the team and management at your stores to provide a great guest experience and fulfill our mission to inspire people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Use operational tools such as Profit and Loss Statement, Data Central, Brink Daily Business Review, Cash Deposit Log, and Drive-thru tracker to achieve Operational excellence within your assigned locations. Maintain relationships with suppliers (inventory management, shipments, etc.) Conduct comprehensive store visits, including Brand Standards Assessments (BSA), Guest Experience Checks, Food Safety Audits, and Launch Execution Checks. Track and document each visit using the appropriate checklists. Maintain and plan a weekly, monthly, and quarterly calendar schedule. Review store environment and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and adjust accordingly. Manage cash activities for the stores (daily deposits, etc.) Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines in assigned stores, while ensuring all Team Members are complying. Ensure and promote a safe workplace and safe product handling by supporting safety training initiatives and counseling direct reports, as necessary Own and promote brand standards in alignment with company vision. Transparency with decision making through openness, communication, and accountability within the district. Not working in silos – able to ask for feedback, clarity within the workplace. Ensure store appearance and cleanliness are upheld and consistent with Smoothie King brand standards. Drive implementation of company programs through action planning and inspiring team to meet operational standards. Develop local store marketing plans to support brand initiatives, including initiating community outreach through marketing and special events. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing tools and programs as well as finding new, creative, and effective methods of recognition. Collaborate with Smoothie King professionals from Operations, Training, Human Resources, and Marketing to deliver the best smoothies and healthy retail products to your community. Supervisory Responsibilities: Recruit, interview, hire, and train individual contributor and/or management-level staff in the department. Oversee the daily workflow of the stores. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handle discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policy. Ability to work cross-functionally and to coordinate communication across diverse work groups. Promote the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King. Qualifications High school diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or similar field is preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a General Manager or supervisor of a team in a restaurant or similar type of retail customer service business. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and the community, both orally and in writing. Ability to work the hours needed to run your store effectively, which might include a variety of days, evenings, weekends, holidays. Ability to travel 50% of the time within assigned region. Knowledgeable of general POS functionality. Experience with OSHA, EEOC, and other federal and state laws and local statutes. ServSafe Certification. Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus. Work Environment: This job entails frequent exposure to high temperatures and extreme cold. There is frequent contact/immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions; and contact with produce items, dairy products, and frequent allergen-related items such as nuts, citrus, peanut butter, cinnamon, etc. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Be available to work weekends. May be required to work holidays or special events. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area. Requires maintenance of home office space. When not travelling to stores, work is conducted remotely with frequent video conferences. Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to audit/inspect store sites including walking properties, bending, stretching, squatting, and kneeling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Required to use assistance when available i.e. hand trucks, ramps, or another team member. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel Required: Travel throughout the region (50%), working extended days (10-12 hours).
