About the Role:

Provides guidance and management to operating locations. Establishes business unit goals and financial performance criteria for operating locations.Represents Company with Clients concerning issues of passenger management, route scheduling, billing, maintenance, operator issues, and general logistics mattersMaximizes efficiency of labor expendituresEffectively communicates with employees concerning area, regional, and Company goals, objectives, and policies. Coordinates frequently with regional staff to maintain continuity in policies and procedures. Manages and directs team members at two facilities. Manages daily operations and other issuesManages compliance with labor contracts and ensures cost-beneficial resolutions regarding labor/employee grievancesMaintains Equal Employment Opportunity compliance and reportingEnsures all safety-related Company policies and procedures are adhered to within assigned areas. Establishes and maintains contacts with key customers to ensure overall enhancement of service levels, addressing and resolving service issues, while maintaining or improving serviceOversees revenue contracts; inclusive of contract interpretation, scheduling and routing, billing and accounting, charter sales/bus leasing programs, and other activitiesResponsible for hiring, training, and developing of managers ensuring bench strengthEstablishes performance and other goals, monitors performance, and conducts annual performance reviews, MIP, and salary reviewsPlans and coordinates strategic manpower issues Identifies areas for training improvement within the divisionReports findings to the Regional Vice President, and various members of senior managementManages relationships with senior management and employees, externally with customers, suppliers, and contractors, industry associations, the community, politicians, regulatory agencies, and the mediaEnsures all maintenance programs are completed in a cost-efficient, timely manner. Manages OSHA compliance. Ensures equipment is safe, clean, and dependableEnsures area compliance with all safety training/standards and requirements to include drug and alcohol training/testingIn conjunction with the Regional Vice President, develops annual capital and operating budgets and plans, provides ongoing monitoring of results and achievements of targetsResponsible for the attainment of business and financial objectives and asset managementPrepares necessary reports and ensures senior management and support staff are informed on business issues and pertinent mattersMaintains an ongoing knowledge of industry practices and trends as they relate to operations at the depotsManages the set up of operations departments for contract start-ups within assigned region or as neededOther duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the region.

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge in Business Administration, Logistics, or Transportation.

Experience Required

5+ years operations management or transportation/safety experience. 5+ years experience working with multi-unit locations..Labor relations experience, inclusive of contract negotiations and arbitrations.Proven experience dealing with county, state and local government.Proven experience developing and presenting reports to various level of management in the company and with the client. Proven business development experience.Cost control and financial/budget experience handling multiple facilities and discipline   Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FTA, FMCSR, Title VII, OSHA, etc.).Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Highly organized with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives. Must be able to demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy and possess good judgment and discretion. Excellent presentation skills requiredExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Must be detail-oriented and possess effective time management skills.Must be a self-starter and highly motivatedMust be proficient in Microsoft Office software packages

25% travel predominately within assigned location.
