Overview Area Group Housing Manager – Marriott Portfolio (Remote) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused leader to join our Marriott portfolio as a Remote Area Group Housing Manager. The successful candidate will oversee group housing operations for a cluster of Marriott-branded hotels. This role is integral to ensuring exceptional group reservations management and delivering outstanding guest experiences. The ideal candidate has proven expertise in group housing management, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates strong leadership skills by supporting team members both personally and professionally. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage group housing processes for multiple Marriott portfolio hotels across the West Coast. Analyze group room inventory and optimize utilization using OneYield to maximize occupancy and increase RevPAR across the portfolio. Manage group blocks in Marsha, CI, FSPMS, and Fosse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly Area Group Scrub Calls to ensure portfolio-wide alignment on group housing updates. Communicate group housing updates and changes to Directors of Sales (DOS) and Revenue Leaders across all managed properties. Run and analyze daily/weekly reports from systems such as CI, OneYield, FSPMS, and/or Fosse to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Front Desk teams across the portfolio to communicate and coordinate special requests or needs for group bookings. Participate actively in Revenue Optimization Committee (ROC) meetings, contributing group housing insights and strategies. Ensure portfolio-wide alignment with Marriott brand standards and best practices for group reservations management. Provide guidance, training, and support to on-property teams in group housing operations, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. Handle guest inquiries and requests related to group reservations in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a "WOW" guest experience. Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Proven experience in group housing management within the hospitality industry, preferably with Marriott-branded hotels. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while being flexible and remaining efficient Ability to oversee operations for multiple properties and manage area-level responsibilities effectively. Strong proficiency with systems such as OneYield, Marsha, CI, FSPMS, and Fosse. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with both guests and team members. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret reports and identify actionable insights. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $45,000.00/Yr. - $52,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
